I think that we can all agree that this community has been dead for the past few months.
What happened here, guys? We're all exciting, friendly, passionate people!
I for one believe that it's time to resurrect booklisters and become a true community again.

How shall we do this, you ask?

I think that if we could all just come out of our shells, reintroduce ourselves, and remind everyone how amazingly great it is to start literary discussion in here, then this place will get hopping again in no time.

Favorite TV Shows: Pushing Daisies, Gilmore Girls, Glee, Mythbusters, any British quiz-comedy, and a truly horrifying amount of Western and Japanese animation ranging from the late 70s through to the latest Cartoon Network/NHK/Animax offerings.
Favorite Movies:Nausicäa, Persepolis, Appleseed Ex Machina, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, The Last Unicorn, Silence of the Lambs, The Adventures of Prince Achmed, The Dark Knight, The Fifth Element, X-Men 1 and 2, LOTR, Hero, Barbarella, Beautiful Losers, Iron Man, Kiki's Delivery Service, most films from the DC Animated stable, and more Disney films than I can admit in public.
Favorite Music: single female artists, some electronica and rock
Hobbies: I think the word 'hobbies' doesn't really apply. 'Fanatical devotions', maybe. :D Illustration, animation, SF, art history, rubber stamps, comics (oh god don't start with the comics) of various countries, general geekery...oh, and capoeira.
Other: I talk a lot. I wonder if you noticed :D Also, I usually like people, and when they read I love them!

Kiki's Delivery Service is my comfort movie :D I ADORE it. Every time everything is going horribly wrong, I put on Kiki's Delivery Service and feel a little bit better.
